i found the blog binky the doormat from davidthedesigner which was linked from aesthetic outburst (phew!). i am loving his taste in quotes, visuals, and the fact that it is laid out super clean and nice on the eyes. you can actually look at things one at a time! needless to say, i will definitely be adding this to my list of must-reads. (perhaps needless to say, but i said it anyway...take THAT, dear reader ;)

winter song

this was posted on quaint handmade and it's a very soothing song and a super cute video. (i love their heart cheeks!) it's supposed to snow tomorrow, but here's hoping spring is just around the corner.

fair isle monsters

i finished my fair isle hat!!! i took a knitting class at crafty planet with melissa and other fun friends and it was the first double pointed needle project i have ever done. i changed the original snowflake pattern to a little monster and i think it's pretty cute. i just sewed on the ginormous pom pom tonight...note the immense amount of trimming i had to do to it so that it was actually a spherical shape!

lovelydesign

i found lovelydesign through oh happy day! and i LOVE her blog. her style is practically perfect, her projects and photos are beautiful, AND she's a mom at the same time. (to a cutie!) PLUS she has sewn a really great red and aqua quilt, so it was love at first read...

the photo of her daughter passed out with the barrettes all over the cat is one of the best photos i have seen EVER. seriously...so cute.

a preview

here is a sneak peak of where i'm at right now on missy's wedding invitation. the color scheme will be cream, levels of pinks, and accents of silver and dark gray. the paper and envelope colors that she's picked out are PERFECT together. we're also hoping to find 1" double-faced satin ribbon that coordinates, to tie everything together. LOVE IT.

in love with letterpress

THIS INVITATION IS AMAZING.

i love letterpress. and this invitation is not only beautifully letterpressed, it has a section sewn in that is gocco printed on fabric with raw edges, AND has a perforated removable rsvp card. OMG. i saw this on oh happy day! (a great blog) which linked from black*eiffel (ditto) and is the work of studio on fire. um...studio on fire is in minneapolis. MINNEAPOLIS! can i please get an internship there??? i don't care about money. i just want to be a part of amazing designs and textured stationery. i called the minnesota center for book arts and not only are both their letterpress classes full but their secret unlisted 3rd letterpress class already has a waiting list. sigh...

cute plants

i love these great photos of HEALTHY succulents from plants & animals. my baby plant at work is slowly dying. (OR slowly rehabilitating itself???) little green plants are always so cheerful and fun, hope mine grows up to look like these.

i love this ginormous valentine on oh happy day and think it'd be SO fun to untie and keep unfolding open! plus, the message is so matter of fact, it's funny. it reminds me of the office episode last week with the banner for kelly's birthday that read "it is your birthday." ha.
